School Meals

Our school meals are served in a three week cycle to give our students a varied menu. Please see the menu calendar below to find out the dates the menu coincides with.

At St Joseph’s our meals are provided by Citywide Services who prepare a balanced lunch fresh on our school premises.

CityWide

Citywide is the council’s catering service. They provide school meals to most of Salford’s schools.

Eating well is important for children’s health. A balanced lunch will help a child concentrate better during lessons.

Citywide only use high quality ingredients. They carefully select suppliers and use British sourced products and free range eggs. They also offer salad bars.

Menus are constantly updated and the food is freshly prepared, following catering guidelines.

Paying For School Meals

Each school meal costs £2.10 which is paid inadvance using our payment provider ParentPay. Click on the button below for more information about ParentPay.

Free School Meals And Universal Free School Meals

All children in Reception, Year One and Year Two are entitled to a universal free school meal. You may also qualify for free school meals if you have a qualifying benefit. We recomend that all parents who think they may qualify apply for free school meals even if they’re not going to have the school lunch or already qualify for universal meals. This is because schools receive a ‘pupil premium’ – an extra payment for each eligible child which they can spend on useful services.

For more information about free school meals and how to apply please click the link below.

Our School Meals Menu is on a three week rota which ensures the children have a varied diet throughout the year. Below you will find our three menus and a list of dates so that you know which week is which menu.
